My Vision for Elk Grove Unified School District

As your Elk Grove Unified School District Trustee for Area 5, I will work tirelessly to ensure every child has access to the opportunities, resources, and support needed to achieve academic success.

As I seek your support this November, I want parents, students, educators, and community members to understand the priorities I will champion as your School Board Trustee. These priorities reflect my commitment to strengthening our schools and preparing every student for a successful future.

Educational Priorities

  • Every student deserves access to enriching educational opportunities beyond the classroom. I will advocate for continued funding and expanded access to before and after-school programs that support academic achievement, leadership development, and student engagement.

  • Student success must remain our top priority. I will support evidence-based strategies to increase student achievement, improve test scores, and continue efforts to close achievement gaps so that every student has the opportunity to succeed.

  • A high school diploma opens doors to future opportunities. I will work to maintain and strengthen graduation rates by ensuring students receive the academic support, guidance, and resources necessary to reach this important milestone.

  • Students face challenges both inside and outside the classroom. I will advocate for increased access to counselors, psychologists, and mental health services to ensure students receive the support they need to thrive academically and emotionally.

  • Strong schools require responsible financial management. I will support balanced budgets that prioritize student success while protecting vital programs, supporting employees, and maintaining long-term financial stability.

  • Not every student's path is the same. I will continue supporting Career Technical Education programs that provide hands-on learning experiences and prepare students for college, careers, and workforce opportunities.

  • Every child deserves to learn in a safe, clean, and supportive environment. I will work to ensure our campuses remain secure and focused on student learning and well-being.

Commitments for the Next Four Years

  • I will explore new opportunities to connect students with colleges, employers, internships, apprenticeships, and Career Technical Education pathways through student career fairs and workforce partnerships.

  • Students should feel safe and supported every day they come to school. I will advocate for policies and programs that strengthen campus safety and create positive learning environments.

  • Taxpayer dollars should be invested in programs that produce results for students. I will work to ensure district expenditures remain focused on student achievement and proven educational programs.

  • Parents and community members deserve clear, open communication from their school district. I will support transparency, accountability, and meaningful opportunities for public engagement.

  • Great schools depend on great educators. I will advocate for the resources, professional support, and working conditions necessary to help teachers and staff succeed, because when educators succeed, students succeed.

  • Our students are the future of our community. By supporting academic excellence, safe schools, mental health services, responsible budgeting, and strong partnerships with families and educators, we can ensure every student has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
